Abstract:
In today’s world where technology is changing rapidly, smart businesses have emerged as a new trend in business. These businesses provide new opportunities for growth and development by using new technologies. Technology and the boom of the Internet have caused new businesses to emerge, and many traditional businesses to change their shape and turn to use the Internet. Transformative tools and technologies have added different features to businesses. Through these tools, businesses have found facilities that they did not have in the past. Tools like the Internet of Things and Artificial intelligence of things have helped collect and refine big data. This big data with high production speed, high volume, and great variety along with analytical tools such as artificial intelligence and transparent data storage systems such as blockchain and emphasizing learning methods have helped businesses to perform analysis. All these tools have a high impact on energy saving by optimizing processes. In this special issue, the goal is to show the presence of these technologies and their valuable roles in the development of businesses in innovative ways. Qualitative and quantitative analyses of important business sectors, such as supply chain processes, production, sales, marketing, and digital business reviews with an emphasis on transformative technologies will form essential parts of this special issue.
