We invite you to submit articles regarding Topics and Issues in Petroleum Engineering to be published in this Special Issue of International Journal of Engineering. We also welcome critical review articles from renowned experts in the industry and academia. Challenges of petroleum ingineering are considered: from well completion to hydrocarbon processing.
The Special Issue “Spercial Topics on Petroleum Engineering” covers all key scientific areas that contribute to the development of an effective system for providing innovative technological research in promising areas of petroleum industry, including all steps from geological exploration to the consumption of refineries output.
Nowadays, traditional petroleum fields are being depleted. New deposits of oil and gas are located in remote and hard-to-reach regions, such as the Arctic, with complex geological and rock characteristics. In addition to complicated conditions of petroleum production in these areas, environmental concerns are of great importance. An urgent challege is the reduction of carbon footprint in oil and gas production. Disposal of waste from the oil refining and petrochemical industries, as well as the use of specially synthesized functional materials for oil and gas engineering, is a strategic task for which a solution must be found. In this regard, the special issue deals with the problems of modern techniques and approaches to the production and use of hydrocarbons.
Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to:
Dmitry Tananykhin, Dean of Oil and Gas Faculty, Saint Petersburg Mining University, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Georgiy Buslaev, Project Manager, Arktika Scientisfic Center,Saint Petersburg Mining University, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Vyacheslav Rudko, Executive Director, Scientific Center for Processing Problems of Mineral and Technogenic Resources, Saint Petersburg Mining University, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Please be kindly advised that a flat publication fee of $250 should be applied to any accepted articles with no page limitations for the special issue.
